Twos

Trina’s Learning Center is greatly aware of the connotation behind the phrase “terrible two.” Terrible twos are stinking cute with their budding curiosity growing even more. But this is also the time when caregivers and parents should learn how to say NO or set limits in a way that would not seem offensive to the little ones.

The key there is frequent appreciation and praising for everything the child does right, not focusing on what was done wrong instead. Nevertheless, appropriate actions coupled with knowledge should be done when these little ones break into fits or tantrums.

Tantrums are indications that this two-year-old definitely do not have the language to express themselves emotionally yet. Thus, patience and an innate sense of being caring are required from childcare providers.
